The Coolest Reuse of Bicycle Parts You'll Ever See

God Bless StumbleUpon; I have found so many nifty things using that little application. The latest thing is this really cool furniture made out of bicycle parts. The company is called Bike Furniture Design, and they make the coolest stuff. They even use tires and inner tubes!

This is what they start with. (left)

Entrepreneur Andy Gregg has been doing this since 1990, and I'd say he's got a groovy thing going. The types of materials he's recycling often end up in the landfill. The steel used in bikes is the result of a resource-intensive process; reusing it is a brilliant sustainable process! The results of his efforts are definitely beautiful design statements.

Tables use reclaimed car windows for their surfaces. This table model uses the rear window of a VW Beetle:
